Retail Week - Special Report [28th July 2006]

Retail Week is the essential guide to all things retail related, hence being named as one of their top 100 shops was a huge honour.

“This is the perfect dressing shop for girls. It has hundreds of good-quality designer shoes for bargain prices, along with clothes and accessories. Plus, it pumps out classic 1980s tunes all day and the staff firmly encourage you to try as much on as possible.”

Jennifer Creevy, Property Editor, Retail Week

Evening Standard - Article on Retail Week Special Report [28th July 2006]

A very proud moment, to have two newspapers discussing us being a store you must visit before you die, chosen by retail giants and sector honchos.

"Absolute Vintage, a retro clothing shop, popular with bargain hunting fashionistas in Hanbury Street, East London.”

Time Out - Travel Special [Feburary 4-11 2004]

A Time Out Special about the opening of Absolute Vintage.

"Absolute Vintage Knocks your socks off with a staggering array of second-hand footwear, sourced from Canada and Europe. The shop is strong on evening shoes, with a come-dancing section devoted purely to gold versions, from sparkly sandals to more muted courts. Boots range from slouchy white leather’ 80s styles to suede cowboy styles, including a sizeable men’s selection. At £10-£65, prices are pleasingly bargainous at this shoe shrine.”

Vogue UK - In association with Kurt Geiger [Spring Edition 2004]

A piece on Absolute Vintage is the unequivocal Vogue Magazine.

"With over 1,000 pairs of shoes and boots to choose from, London’s Absolute Vintage is home to one of the biggest second-hand shoe collections in Britain and, luckily for shoppers, they are all handily arranged by colour. Whatever shade and style you’re after, if you can’t find it here, it doesn’t exist. Shoe addicts beware – the winning combination of choice and low prices means it’s impossible to buy just one pair."

Vogue Japan -  Absolute Vintage Feature [November 2004]

A flattering reference to our store in this page feature.

“Not only clothes, they have over a 1000 pairs of shoes. It’s displayed by colours so it’s easy to browse!”

Elle Japan - Elle London Feature [9th September 2004]

Elle Japan did a brilliant Fashion editorial on Absolute Vintage

"Since it opened it has been the most talked about vintage store due to its overwhelming amount of stock. The owner started the business from Portobello marker stall and buys all the shoes from Europe and America, which he has his own routine of buying.
It sells on average 1000 pairs of shoes every week so you should grab your favourite right away. The shop has many bags and clothes too!”

The Face - Featurette: PALE [April 2004]
